IT for education - with respect for teachers
Schools and training providers work under particular conditions: limited budgets, data protection authorities with opinions, teaching staff with very different levels of IT confidence, and parents with expectations.
We come into environments like that with patience.
What we typically build
- School Wi-Fi with full coverage and separate networks for staff, pupils and guests
- Device management for iPads or Windows tablets (Jamf School or Intune for Education)
- Learning platform according to state and policy requirements
- Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace for Education including data-protection-specific configuration
- File exchange between teachers, pupils and parents
- Conferencing kit in classrooms (projectors, smartboards, cameras)
- Pupil account management with simple self-service reset
- Backup, especially for teachers’ data and examination archives
What we add

School IT is demanding because reality (cabling that has been in the basement since 1985) often does not match the political brief (digital, accessible, media-literate). We make the best of what the resources and the rules allow.

FAQ.01Do you know your way around DigitalPakt applications?
Yes. We have taken several schools through the German DigitalPakt funding programme - from needs analysis and supplier selection to sign-off. We are not a full grant consultancy, but we provide the technical justification of need.
FAQ.02Which learning platforms do you support?
We work neutrally with Moodle, IServ, Nextcloud for Education, Microsoft 365 for Education and Google Workspace for Education. The choice depends on the federal state, the responsible authority and the type of school - we advise neutrally.
FAQ.03iPads or Windows tablets in the classroom?
Often iPads, because of MDM maturity and the app ecosystem. Windows where teaching is Office-heavy or where the school authority has already decided. We configure Jamf School or Intune for Education accordingly.
FAQ.04Wi-Fi in an old school building - is that feasible?
Yes, but not with consumer hardware. Older school buildings need more access points, PoE network switches and proper monitoring. We do a site survey and size it realistically.
FAQ.05What about data protection?
Data protection in education is stricter than the GDPR baseline. Putting pupil data in Microsoft 365 or Google is only permissible in many federal states with specific adjustments. We advise on what is allowed in your state and how to implement it technically.
FAQ.06Training providers - what do you need that schools do not?
More flexibility (participants change) and usually hybrid courses. We build platforms that combine in-person and online learning, with straightforward participant management.
