What collaboration means at CAVORT
Most companies already have collaboration tools. The problem is rarely that there are too few - it is that there are too many, nothing was coordinated, and the permissions have not been touched since 2019.

Microsoft 365
Our main tool for the German-speaking mid-market. Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Entra ID. We do not just set it up - we set it up so that you can actually use it afterwards.
What the rollout package includes:
- Mailboxes, calendars and shared mailboxes with clean delegation
- OneDrive and SharePoint with a considered structure (not “every department in one site”)
- Teams with a channel architecture, meeting policies and external access rules
- Entra ID with groups, dynamic roles, conditional access and MFA
- Intune for device management, Autopilot for rollouts without touching every laptop
- Exchange Online Protection, plus Defender for Office 365 where needed
Mail migration
Migration is the part where most providers start spreading panic. For us it is a documented process with clear milestones, preparation and fallback scenarios. We migrate from on-prem Exchange, Google Workspace, IMAP providers and hoster mailboxes - and on the target side to Microsoft 365, Stalwart or Nextcloud-integrated setups.
Identity, SSO, MFA
When staff have to juggle twelve different passwords, those passwords end up on sticky notes. We consolidate identities via Entra ID (or Okta) and push SSO as far as it will go - for Microsoft workloads, SaaS tools and your own web apps. MFA is mandatory; conditional access is our tool of choice.
Alternatives outside Microsoft
We do not recommend Microsoft 365 blindly. If data protection means you need European sovereignty (law firms with EU-only requirements, public bodies), we build:
- Stalwart with Roundcube or JMAP for mail
- Nextcloud for file sharing and collaboration
- OnlyOffice or Collabora for office workloads
- Jitsi or Matrix with Element for meetings and chat
All on-prem or in EU data centres. It costs more to operate, but it saves compliance projects.

FAQ.01Do you only work with Microsoft 365, or with Google Workspace too?
Both. Microsoft 365 is the standard in the German-speaking mid-market, Google Workspace is common with agencies and startups. We also work with Nextcloud and OnlyOffice for clients who are open-source-first.
FAQ.02What is actually involved in a mail migration?
First we assess the current state (mailbox sizes, aliases, calendar sharing, shared mailboxes, distribution groups). Then we prepare DNS (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC), migrate mailboxes in batches (typically over a weekend), transfer access rights, reconfigure clients and run a final pass for stragglers. At the end, monitoring to confirm nothing still points at the old server.
FAQ.03Can you handle Microsoft 365 licensing without reseller markup games?
Yes. We are a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) and can carry licences for you - or you keep your existing reseller and we only handle the technology. Many clients mix the two: licences on a direct Microsoft agreement, operations with us.
FAQ.04Teams calling or a classic phone system?
It depends how much external calling you do and how many desk phones you genuinely need. For mobile, digital-native teams, Teams Phone with direct routing is a clear win. For reception desks and medical practices it is often too inflexible - there we build hybrid setups.
FAQ.05What if our SharePoint structure has just grown organically?
That is the normal case, not the exception. We take inventory, propose a target architecture (including labels, sensitivity and permissions) and migrate step by step. Important: if you want to roll out Microsoft 365 Copilot, the SharePoint hygiene has to be right **first** - otherwise Copilot surfaces things it should not.
FAQ.06Identity management - do we even need that?
If you have more than five staff: yes. Single sign-on, MFA and conditional access are not a luxury, they are the minimum for an auditable setup. We build it on Entra ID or Okta, depending on your ecosystem.
