Restaurants & bars
Point of sale, Wi-Fi, reservations, music. IT that keeps running - when the owner is away, when the house is full, on a Friday night.
So arbeiten wir mit Restaurants & bars.
Vier Punkte, die wir bei Restaurants & bars immer in den Vordergrund stellen.

Restaurants & bars - im Detail.
IT in hospitality - what you get from us
Hospitality IT has to work when the room is full. Outages cost revenue directly. We build robustly - and we are reachable when the till freezes at 7pm on a Friday.
Base setup
- POS system with a TSE module and documented fiscal compliance
- Receipt printer, kitchen printer, card payment terminal
- Reliable Wi-Fi for service tablets and guests, strictly separated
- Internet connectivity with 4G failover for the worst case
- Reservation software, if wanted, integrated with guest communication
- Music system with a commercial licence
- Cameras for security, signposted in line with GDPR
What we are especially good at
Our own POS system Badgertap is a CAVORT product built for fast-service operations with heavy walk-in trade. If you run cafés, takeaways or stadium catering and standard POS systems are too slow, we will look at Badgertap with you.

- Service windows scheduled outside peak opening hours
- Emergency hotline for a dead till
- Annual TSE certificate renewal, automatic
- Hardware replacement under warranty usually within 24 hours

Restaurants & bars - frequently asked.
FAQ.01Which POS systems do you recommend?
For hospitality specifically we work with Badgertap (our own, built for fast-service floors), Lightspeed, Vectron or Orderbird - depending on the type of operation. For small cafés an iPad solution is often enough; a full restaurant needs a proper system with receipt printer, kitchen tickets and a TSE module.
FAQ.02TSE - what do I need to know?
The TSE (technical security device) has been mandatory for electronic tills in Germany since 2020. We set it up initially, handle replacement certificates when they expire, and support you during tax office audits - including retrospective evidence requirements.
FAQ.03Our guests complain about the Wi-Fi. What can you do?
Wi-Fi in hospitality is a common problem - usually access points that are too weak, badly placed, or no captive portal. We do a site survey, size it properly and install enterprise hardware (UniFi, Aruba) with guest and operational networks kept separate.
FAQ.04Can you do digital menus?
Yes. QR code menus, tablet-based menus or your own website with a menu CMS. We build it Git-based with Markdown in the repository so you can update prices yourself, without needing to code.
FAQ.05Music systems?
Sonos is the standard where you need multi-zone. For simple setups a streaming stick with a Spotify Business subscription is enough - and note that a private Spotify account is not licensed for commercial premises. We configure timers, scenes and fallbacks.
FAQ.06What does a complete hospitality IT setup cost?
For a restaurant with around 80 covers, two to three POS stations, kitchen tickets, guest Wi-Fi and digital menus, budget 6,000 to 12,000 EUR one-off (hardware plus installation) plus 150 to 300 EUR a month ongoing.
