FAQ.01Why Proxmox and not VMware?
Open source, no licence trap, snapshots, live migration and ZFS storage included. Since Broadcom took over VMware, pricing has become hard to justify for most mid-market clients.
FAQ.02On-prem or cloud?
Both, and often hybrid. Cloud where it makes sense (mail, collaboration, ordinary office workloads), on-prem or hosted where latency, data protection or cost argue against it.
FAQ.03What happens if a server fails?
For critical systems we recommend high-availability setups where a single failure does not stop everything. First diagnosis is remote - out-of-band management via iLO, IPMI or iDRAC usually works.
