What we do NOT do
We do not treat snapshots as backups. Snapshots are useful, but on their own they are not a backup. We build genuinely isolated, where appropriate immutable, where appropriate off-site backups.

FAQ.01What is the 3-2-1 rule?
Three copies of your data, on two different media, one of them off site (ideally immutable). That is the minimum we will work to.
FAQ.02Do I need Microsoft 365 backup?
Yes. Microsoft protects the infrastructure, not your data against accidental deletion, ransomware or staff mistakes. The recycle bin and versioning are not enough. We recommend Veeam M365 Backup or Dropsuite.
FAQ.03How often are restores tested?
Sample restores quarterly. A full scenario test annually in a test network. That is the core of a backup strategy - copying data is trivial, restoring under pressure is the skill.
